Deer & Black Bear Hunts
Our 56’ boat the “Ultimate” makes the perfect base for 3, 4, or 5 day Black Bear or Black Tail Deer hunts. These are non-guided hunts, where you do all the actual hunting yourselves, from spotting of your target to the final care of your animal. We supply all meals and non-alcoholic beverages.
The “Ultimate” offers a heated comfortable cabin with your own bunk. The 56 foot vessel is a long range hunting and fishing machine equipped with twelve bunks, hot and cold water, a shower, two heads, AC 120 volt power, flat screen TV, freezer and a skilled and knowledgeable crew.
Although the “Ultimate” is licensed to carry 33, we limit our hunts to 6 passengers on split parties or up to 8 if all in one group.
Our black bear hunts are offered starting in May and run thru early June. They are normally a 3 to 5 day hunt but can be customized to suit your needs. You can glass right from the boat as we cruise the picturesque Alaskan shorelines that are highly populated with black bear or if you prefer to hunt hillsides of draws we can drop you off on shore with a radio to call the boat when you want to be picked up. These bears are just coming out of hibernation, so their hides are thick and in great condition. If you spot a bear you would like to hunt, we will skiff you to shore, so you can hunt and stalk your bear. Due to the high population of black bears, these hunts usually have a very high success rate. We also have the best halibut fishing in the world right underneath us, so if you choose to take time off from the hunt to fill your freezer with some fresh halibut, we will have all the equipment available.
In the fall we switch to Black Tail Deer hunts, hunting either in The Kodiak Island Chain or Prince William Sound depending on weather. These deer are often found grazing the beaches as the snowfall pushes them down the hillside.
